The Pain of Resentment and Holding Grudges

When you make a decision to change your life and begin your self healing therapy, you will quickly realize it is all about looking at yourself, actions, and behaviors/feelings.  Resentment and grudge holding are filled with powerful feelings, most of them are unwanted and don’t feel good at all.  Can you relate?  Have you ever been in a situation with a loved one where you had some sort of “falling out” and things were never the same emotionally for you since then?  I can share with you that I’ve had times in my life before I was doing forgiveness therapy and holistic therapy for depression, where I would go years holding a grudge against a good friend or family member.  This was before I learned to let go and before I did any sort of healing work for myself.  It sounds ridiculous, but I learned in childhood that the person who holds the grudge the longest wins.  I now find this mindset very interesting as it portrays vulnerability to be a weakness…which couldn’t be farther from the truth! The fact is that we all have unresolved things and/or relationships in our lives, however, those unresolved things can cause us pain on some level- even if we are not totally aware of that pain. This is why I adore holistic therapy! Because now as adults we always have a choice and we can choose at anytime to resolve our pain.

Please click and watch this week’s video on resentment and holding grudges, it might help you to have a slightly different perspective on unresolved relationships in your own life.

I’d love to hear from you! Please leave a comment underneath this video about how you’ve dealt with resentment and holding grudges in your life.  I want to hear what you currently do and how it has or hasn’t worked for you.

Lots and lots of Love,

Marnina
