Have you experienced the people in your life who keep and follow through on their word tend to be more emotionally balanced? I know I have. I grew up with the saying, “word is bond.” Meaning, your word is literally your bond. I realize that the more insight I gain, the more I get how important being a person of your word is. This is also the major core of our most important and meaningful relationships. Keeping our word builds trust; while going back on our word, especially again and again creates doubt and distrust for ourselves and our loved ones. Can you relate? I know in my childhood specifically if there wasn’t follow through with a promise, depression was usually involved. Our desire to overcome depression, anxiety,and other emotional blockages can have affect us keeping our word.
