In this season of love I feel it is so important for all of us to keep in mind that the way to having more love in our life is to begin loving what we have and this includes loving who we are. This actually means not only loving the parts of us that we already like about ourselves but loving the things we don’t like about ourselves or even blockages and patterns that get in our way. This has definitely been a theme this week for me and most of my clients. How can we embrace the things that we label “unlovable” about ourselves and begin to accept that part of ourselves instead of turning our backs?
It begins with the practice of finding ways to love ourselves, to treat ourselves like we would another person. Taking the action steps of self care; which can include many things. But the essence is learning to like being with just you, and understanding what you feel and need and then what to do about it.
